"Something went wrong while getting your SSO info" - error on login

I have the same issue. The web version works successfully, but the APK doesn’t.

Genius thanks mate! Worked perfect!

Did you figure it out?

Hey,

Are you still getting the original error “Something went wrong while getting your SSO info” when entering your email address?

Without modifying the URL with 0, just the default login page? This has been working correctly for me without the “hack” method for quite some time now.

Guten Abend,
Bei mir war es der VPN, versuche diesen zu deaktivieren, dann sollte die Seite wieder aufrufbar sein.

For anyone else scrolling this far, I found a work around. It’s not ideal if you want the browser experience, but it’s better than nothing.

I downloaded the desktop app for ChatGPT, and was able to login and use it like that.

I was having this same error and turning off my VPN also fixed it! Unsure why the VPN is causing errors all of a sudden but just incase others have this same issue!

Happy to help my friend

Spent an hour poking and prodding their services and login pages/processes. This one worked

The offical app in my experience has been more lenient and it works via VPN. Can you you share what error you’re getting?

They know and this is a workaround/trick, they will eventually realize it exists and they will disable it as well. VPN users are not welcome.

For real! What did they even think?

Though one should note that at least some answers from their support@ are very obviously written by ChatGPT. Funny when the response from support tells you to reach out to support.

Nope, still happening on edge, switched to firefox

Yes. The only way to login for me was to change the login URL to auth0. Today it’s stopped working.

OpenAI doesn’t like VPN users.

Try this:

  1. Go to ChatGPT and hit “Log in
  2. Instead of entering your email address hit “Sign Up
  3. Enter any email address ([email protected]) and hit continue
  4. It will ask you to create a password, don’t do it, instead hit “Go back
  5. You will be taken to the previous page, hit “Log in
  6. Now enter your correct email address and hit “Continue”, notice how the link on this login page should be auth0 and this should give you the password prompt.

Please let me know if it worked!

It’s likely that not all of them are, but given the speed of the response I received and its internal contradictions (e.g. “contact support” as a recommendation) I suspect that at least some of them are. I don’t want to speculate on how they have set this up, but given the volume of support requests they’re likely to receive, I wouldn’t be surprised if there were some kind of criterion based on which requests are passed to human first-level or automated support.

Step 4.

I entered a random edu email:

OpenVPN hates VPN users.

thank you so much! It have worked!

Much thanks! This worked for me today.
