[Software/VPN] Surfshark 24-Month Subscription ($75.35 + 5% Tax - 108% Rebate = -$2.23??)
Hoping someone can chime in with their knowledge. But it reminds me of:when the service is free, you are the product.
A business VPN that logs, still has your data, and if they want to sell that traffic pattern it’s probably a detail hidden in the ToS.
Redflagdeals posted a 100% cashback offer on a 2-Year PIA subscription, was well recieved with people vouching for TopCashBack. Today (today only) they’re offering 108% back on Surfshark purchases.
Can always cancel in the first 30 days if you want to.
surfshark’s client and chrome app constantly log out despite being updated regularly, which isnt that big of a deal but it’s annoying when you want to quickly hop onto a server. Also, you can only cancel your services through support chat, where they try to convince you to not do so.
It’s funny, you use a VPN for privacy purposes. However this requires you to reveal all your details to a 3rd party for a rebate. Not sure if its worth it.
My cashback showed up but it’s only $55.79? Even if that’s USD that’s less than I paid for the VPN.
Is this some sort of third party cashback subscription site?
How does it work exactly?
Mildly interested.
Anyone get their cashback yet? Mine’s still “pending”.
I just signed up topcashback and surfshark, but I see nothing under earings, not even under pending, is this normal?
update: showing the next day, as $55.79 pending, where I actually paid $64.14 US
Am I too late? I’m only seeing “Get up to 100% of your purchase back when you shop with Surfshark”, not 108% like many of the comments below.
Finally. Some real deals.
Big thanks op my vpn expires in 4 days nice to pick this up for free
If you’re not paying for the product, you are the product.
How is surf shark? Is it going to perform as well as ExpressVPN?
i didn’t get this, anyone please explain
You should only get a VPN if you actually need one for something because in most cases using a VPN will give you worse privacy than not using one. You also need to learn to set it up properly so that you don’t VPN all your connections only specific ones.
For example if you get a VPN for torrenting the only thing that should go through that VPN is your torrent client traffic. Your regular internet traffic should not go through that VPN.
Using a VPN improperly will give you less privacy than just using your internet normally. Your ISP actually has laws they have to follow and they can be sued if things go wrong. A VPN company meanwhile can just log everything you do and give your info to anyone that asks. If your ISP did that they would be in big trouble but a VPN company in a foreign country can do it and you will have zero recourse. If you used a credit card to pay they know exactly who you are so you have zero privacy.
“You must remain a subscribed member for a minimum of 30 days or longer, depending on the subscription type, in order to be eligible for cash back.”
Correct me if I’m wrong but you will only get your money back after two years ?
Will this stack if you already have a subscription?
Im interested but this deal seems too good to be true if that makes sense, can anyone explain how this actually works, and what’s the incentive for the website if there is one.
I pressed on get cash back, and it redirected me to surfshark, I bought the 24 months subscription, what now? I don’t understand how I would receive the cash back
