I have a YouTube TV subscription and I have some travel to southeast Asia planned. I will be using my Pixel 8 with the built in VPN by Google One turned on. Will the Google One VPN be able to fool Google’s YouTube TV into believing I’m in the US so that it will let me watch?
That’s not the point of the Google One VPN. Companies like Nord have made it seem like location-shifting is a primary goal of a VPN, that could not be further from the truth, at least in their original intent. The Google One VPN is only for securing your data between your device and a secured endpoint.
I don’t think so. There is no option to select a location in G One VPN as far as I know.
YouTube TV won’t work with a VPN it uses a GPS fix.
So it’s sounding like SOME VPNs may allow me to spoof my location and thus watch YouTube TV while overseas, but NOT the Google One VPN that’s now built into Google Pixels.
