I have tried a few, but I haven’t been too pleased so far.
What do you want to use the VPN for?
- If a VPN is free, your data is somehow being mined (how else would the service be provided, out of the kindness of the provider’s heart?), so privacy goes out the window.
- If you’re looking at data compression Onvao is okay (but to be honest, it’s the only one I’ve tried for that).
- Location spoofing - Freedome is not free, but you could get a year-long free account a while back, and that was pretty darn good (I’m still using mine).
I’ll toss in another vote for Betternet. Super easy and totally free.
Safe and free aren’t words that go together when talking about apps. There are VPN apps that works well that also have other features such as ID theft monitoring, credit monitoring and passwords. I use Aura which I have been happy with so far
I downloaded freedome and I’m using it now for free, but it doesn’t allow me in a certain website where I am trying to access a live chat. The reason is the chat is for a tech support product and they limit how many times you can use their support. I figured the vpn could help get me around that.
