What is the best AdBlocker for Chrome? (browser opinions aside)

I’ve seen your comments on other user’s posts for this question, I don’t want you to sell me on FireFox or another browser. I just want a good adblock for Chrome. I don’t need to know your endless knowledge on why Chrome is the worst thing ever created because it will fall on deaf ears. Thank you in advance for helpful assistance. And a sarcastic thumbs up to those who will still comment about anything other than what my question asked when you could’ve just not commented at all

Edit 8 hrs later: I have Opera GX. Based on viewing other user’s that post chrome related questions, I was experimenting on how many people would attempt to provide an honest solution given the circumstances of my question, and how many, despite me saying that I don’t care for their anti-chrome argument, would still present their anti-chrome argument instead of just not commenting at all. Thank you to those who assisted and provided help. I hope anyone that personally prefers using chrome, finds your comments helpful too. To those who still insisted on providing their anti-chrome arguments despite me saying I didn’t want to hear it, here’s your sarcastic thumbs up (as promised) for still commenting them.

At this point Chroms is nothing more than malware. You’d better off deleting the software

Just use a private DNS. And use brave browser

I’ve heard Adguard Manifest 3 version is the best at the moment. Ublock Origin Lite is another option.

Personally I use uBlock origin

Well, you can try ubo lite and change its settings to max

If you watch twitch streams, you can also consider using adguard extra to block stream ads

best chrome browser adblocker is Pi-hole
though if you insist on using chrome, Opera, and Brave both have built in adblockers… and I think Vivaldi does as well

if you don’t mind of spending a little, adguard would work great since it has a stand alone app which blocks ads without the need for extention.

Thanks for the sarcastic thumbs up I guess.

Yeah, google is phasing adblockers out of chrome, as google is an advertising company. If you are sticking with chrome, the only one I trust to not be absolutely annoying is Ublock lite, but that’s likely to be phased out eventually. If you really want the adblock, either you will have to bet that a company is willingly going to cut down on their profits or switch. If you never ever want to see an ad again, chrome is not the answer, but you want to stick with chrome. That’s completely fine. Just keep in mind that you will most likely have to switch over some day.

Best of luck.

Tampermonkey or something blocks ads and visually alters yt interface a bit. Also yt starts working slower than usual if you use that extension

I don’t know why anyone would use anything other than Ublock origin. It is easily the most effective ad blocker that works across all different types of browsers. It’s truly a no-brainer

adskipper.me for youtube

I used ublock origin for browser level ad blocking and Next DNS for system level blocking. But if you enable too many options, websites may broke.

No such thing anymore. Goggles doesn’t want you blocking ads anymore, especially on YouTube. I just switched to Brave a few weeks ago and it’s been the tits! Fast, lightweight, no BS. It does hog a bit more memory than Chrome but I have some to spare so it’s not an issue.

They’re cracking down, eventually you will have to change browsers

Don’t expect any adblocker extensions to be effective in the Chrome engine moving forward. If you care about adblocking, move to Firefox with ublock origin, or if you must use a Chrome derivative install a DNS sinkhole like a Pihole on your network. Personally, I say do both.

UBlock Origin (The original, not lite) + AdGuard. It works for me. AdGuard for most ads, plus UBO to zap anything that bypasses that.

Ublock Origin https://ublockorigin.com/ but google will soon “This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn’t follow best practices for Chrome extensions.” This is original text from google. I love ublock origin because he doesn’t accept the donation either. Original text from Ublock “I will not accept donations or sponsorships of any kind.” Or if you really want deeper you can buy firewalla: https://firewalla.com/

ditch crome a.s.a.p, install firefox
then install ublock origin - solves all ad blocking stuff u need
