Weird issue with qBittorrent / VPN binding (AirVPN)

I have qbittorrent bound to my VPN, and whenever I change servers / IPs I double check it is configured correctly. I have always used this guide to find the correct utun interface.

Today after updating AirVPN software, I’m finding that two utun interfaces are associated with my IP; and when I set qBit to one of them, my torrents do not connect to some of my trackers; and when I use the other, there’s no connection. Has anyone ever experienced this? There should only be one.

What OS are you running? And which subpar of the instructions are you following to check your network interface?

(And have you tried rebooting your computer?)

  1. Ventura
  2. the method 2 MacOS terminal instructions
  3. I have now… restarted, reinstalled the AirVPN app, & everything seems ok now… weird though; it’s like qbit was running 2 instances of itself at the same time or something. I logged into a tracker and it showed 2 connections. Some trackers were connecting through one utun interface, and some through another, only solved by turning off the VPN before I did the restart.

I’m not especially tech inclined, it’s like there are a bunch of little elves in my computer and they were drunk, but a pram zap restart sobered them up
