A little bit of background info: I am currently using NordVPN to gain access to the TikTok app as I live in a country where it is banned. Recently, the app has completely stopped working for me, and it keeps popping up the “No internet connection” message. Not only has it failed to work on my phone (android), the same error is popping up on my iPad.
To clarify, I’ve always had my sim card removed when I’m using TikTok. It started not to work even when my sim card had already been removed. Moreover, my location is switched to countries like Japan and Australia in NordVPN.
The strangest thing is that TikTok is running smoothly on my web browser, so I don’t think it’s a problem with the VPN?? I’ve reinstalled the app multiple times and I’ve also cleared the cache, yet nothing seems to work.
Has anyone ever encountered a similar problem? This whole situation has been really frustrating, I’d appreciate any help that I can get!!

Ahh what a coincidence!! I am also from Hong Kong! I waited for a couple of days and eventually I got access to my account once again. I’m not quite sure why but as of today it has broken once more? I’m assuming I’ll just have to wait it out again…
Ahh that’s cool! HK represented!! I updated iOS a few days ago and it worked again for a few days and now it’s back to not working! so sad. I’ll just have to do with IG reels I guess. It’s not the same at all. Maybe this is a good thing cause at least I won’t be wasting so much of my time on it but still lol
