Ticketmaster blocked me on my Chrome browser. How can I delete my fingerprint so I can purchase tickets?

I was trying to purchase tickets and apparently having too many browser tabs open will get you permanently blocked from Ticketmaster. I tried deleting cookies, clearing cache, checking to make sure JavaScript was enabled and even deleted Chrome entirely and reinstalled it. I’m still blocked. It’s not an IP issue because I can purchase tickets on other browsers, but they have my Chrome fingerprinted somehow. This is the blocked message Can someone help me?

There was that LocalStorage fuckery that some news sites were using to detect Incognito users. Could it be that was preserved even after all the steps you’ve gone though? Sorry I don’t know how to reset it but there’s an extra term you can search for.

tbh, you should be glad. Ticketmaster are a load of scum.

What about extensions, did you have any installed that would have been interfering with Javascript?

Try another browser? Perhaps you’ll have better luck with a privacy focused option. I use Brave and enjoy it. Otherwise FF is always a good option.

Has ‘Open Guest Window’ failed as a workaround? (Found by clicking on your profile icon at Chrome top right.)

If you delete chrome and re-install it will still leave files and profiles behind. They’re usually in your user profile directory, pour through and delete everything.

you can try this for chrome or this for firefox, the firefox one is more powerful, but the chrome one may work too

That message has a link to let you send an email. Send an email. You’ll be unblocked.

Yea but I deleted those extensions . How can I reset the whole thing? Ticketmaster seemed to have fingerprint me like a hawk.

This should work. Our a new Chrome user.

Download ZenMate VPN and it seems to be working! I’ll know for sure when I purchase tickets because of errors at checkout sometimes.

Ok thank you so much. I’m going to go home and go through it all. I don’t want to call them because I’m afraid they’re going to accuse me of botting the site and send the feds to arrest me.

Downloaded ZenMate VPN and it seems to be working! Need to really know when I actually purchase a ticket because sometimes there’s errors at checkout.

Google “delete Chrome profile” to learn how to wipe a Chrome install and start from scratch. It’s simply a directory you need to delete but the location varies by OS.

IP ban? Try using a VPN.

So they didn’t actually fingerprint ban you, all they did was IP ban you

You can be tracked by not just your ip address but your Chrome profile somehow?

It’s something to do with the browsers fingerprint. I can access Ticketmaster on other browsers, just not Chrome.

Well, I was able to access in different browsers, so not sure it was IP ban, unless an IP is tied to Chrome

Also this VPN May have some additional features that the other VPNs don’t have. Most of the free VPNs wouldn’t work for this issue
