Texas took away our right to porn: how to get it back!

I’m sorry you feel as though it is a problem. Therapy is one of the best ways through issues like this.

I do see this as a valid problem for some people but trying to project yourself into the issue is a side effect beneficial only to you.

Many of us do not have problems with pornography consumption AND have adequate filters and controls in place to keep it out of my kids hands.

I’m pretty sure no controls are available that are good enough and fool proof enough to keep kids out, but addiction issues are the fault of an adults actions up to a certain point, whether your parents or your own.

Texas has no rights to monitor our lives or regulate our bodies.

You’re well on your way to being a fascist. No congrats.

Yeah and masturbation makes people blind. Just a heads up everyone, there will be more and more people posting unfalsifiable claims that coincidentally support Project 2025.

If you don’t believe me read through this guy’s post history. He believes COVID was nothing more than a cold, curious.

No, that’s not the purpose. You really need to read the bill. The purpose of the bill is to force porn sites to create a system of age verification for their customers. The purpose is to prevent children from watching porn.

Which is not a bad goal- children shouldn’t be watching porn- but the way they’re forcing this implementation is requiring porn companies to verify the age of their customers, with a state-issued form of identification tied to an account. Setting aside the issue of tying an identifiable person’s porn preference to their non-anonymized account, the major concern is the security of this system and how susceptible it is to hackers or to government subpoenas.

Historically, it’s been the duty of a parent to prevent their children from viewing inappropriate material- which is why technology comes with parental control features.

Creating, storing, disseminating or viewing Child porn is already against several separate statutes, at both the federal and state level. This bill does not enhance enforcement or redefine the definition of any of those laws.

You are the only one saying anything about child pornography. :eyes:

Sir you and King Abbot can roll your asses out of here lol

I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt.

And if that is what he means, he can say it with his whole chest.

Dude, if you’re serious please get help and don’t donate $ to him.

If you’re trolling, I’m reporting to to mods.

I feel your pain but you gotta keep voting blue. If all registered voters in Texas get out and vote Blue down ballot in November, we have the numbers to turn Texas Blue. In 2026 we could then get rid of our corrupt local government. Paxton’s trial starts April 15. Hope to God the jury finds him guilty.

That explains why they are so miserable. lol

The majority of Americans disagree with you. You do realize you’re in the minority, right?

Dead kids don’t matter, you think this does?

That’s kind of the irony here. Preserve a right that’s killing our kids, but strip a right in the name of kids that at it’s core really has nothing to do with them.

You know you’re clutching your pearls too hard when even Maude Flanders gives you that look

No it isn’t anything about protecting children. X has plenty of porn and they’re not going after it because Elon is their qunt. The thing about X is the porn pops up on my feed and I have never accessed it. No warnings at all. I’m not a prude but if I’m in line at a grocery store looking at my phone I don’t want random porn showing up without any warning.

It sure is. What’s the alternative?

We do prevent people who are Minors from smoking, drinking and several other activities and products. And Texas did not ban anything, PornHub withdrew from the state. The flip side is that on that page they have up they show what they believe to be a better way to prevent minors from accessing porn. The issue with the government’s way is that it requires ID which has a multitude of downsides, its hard to enforce adult websites to comply. Other websites like reddit and twitter probably don’t qualify which have a ton of porn. I don’t mind the government finding ways to make it harder for Minors to access porn, what I do mind is their old-fashioned problematic solution. I do hope this gets the ball moving for future laws to be more competent and comprehensive, so it becomes very difficult for minors to access adult content.

I did and if I had thrown 320 dollars to the trash for the 8 sessions with the sexologist (psychologist specialist on sexual problems) I would’ve gotten the same result

F that he banned abortions were both staying, you can leave, don’t tread on me

And if that is what he means, he can say it with his whole chest.

Brought to you by the people who think “Let’s Go Brandon” is clever and peak humor.

Always too cowardly to say what they mean outright.

Everything I have posted is 100% correct.

Biden has promised to “restore Roe as the law of the land “. My question for you. If Biden could legalize Roe, why didn’t Obama or Biden do it when they had control of both houses?
