Is there a way to get a static IP address every time I connect to the same server? The help pages seem to suggest so:
With NordVPN subscription, you get a shared static IP address. Every time you connect to a VPN server, your IP remains the same, but it is also used by other people. However, you can get a dedicated IP address, which will be only at your disposal.
But my IP seems to refresh daily. My organization needs to whitelist my IP address before I can access their server. I don’t really need the dedicated IP, a shared, static IP would be just fine
Dedicated IP with a Nord VPN is a different service. It cost $70 per year, you get a permanent IP address which they say is fresh out of the box, you have 30 days to get your money back but they’re in mind that if after the 30 days This IP becomes less useful for some reason, then you’re stuck with it. However it probably is a whole lot better than the shared stuff which does change daily yes. By the way you can have two simultaneous connections on that but the second one will be TCP. Also it comes on top of the five connections that you can have although you do need to have an active Nord account for the duration. Unlike there shared service which it’s kind of a joke how they pretend is always on special promotion, this thing they will not budge with a price. Incidentally, the regular service is quite the opposite and I think you can get it for about $80 for three years. I think they advertise the discounted price significantly higher than that but I’m not 100% sure. Also the dedicated service is available in specific locations, I think in the US that is LA and Buffalo, Amsterdam in Europe and a few others. I heard actually spoke with a British company that was using residential service for similar prices if I’m not mistaken, but I’ve seen guides online for residential Internet VPN which to me seems like a better idea than a fresh IP from a stack I can probably be traced back to Nord although this is purely speculative it may be incorrect. Their money back seems to be like a good fair way of evaluating this.
