Softether android client to bypass government censorship

Hi
I live in Iran and as you know there is huge censorship on internet by government , most of VPN protocol don’t work.

The only one that we can connect is a project by Japanese university called softether

But the problem is softether don’t have official client for Android

I manage to find unofficial client on github without prebiuld apk but since I don’t have android developing experience I can’t build apk out of it

https://github.com/lfasmpao/softethervpn-android

I wonder if anyone here willing to help us by providing apk

Thanks in advance

Yeah, one of the only things currently works is vpngate.net or softether severs.
You don’t need a dedicated client for Android to connecting to vpngate servers most of them can be connected using regular VPN connection that can be created using any Android device in the Settings menu, I believe vpngate even provided info for that in their site.

Yes, people in Iran can seamlessly download VPN through Softpedia. Some other options could be TutuApp and AppBrain. By the way, free VPN browser extensions are also not working in Iran? In my opinion, these extensions are the most easy way to unban sites.

North Koreans smuggle things in and out on thumb drives.

You’re going to have to work a little harder to get the data out, but it’ll get posted in a safe place that won’t get taken down either.

Good luck my friend! The world needs the information!

How contributing to an open source project which actively undermines Iran’s oppressive regime is equal to helping the government that’s selling missiles to Russia?
This is whataboutism.

There’s nothing wrong about asking for help on internet. No need to make a speech to say you’re not going to help.

If you mean
L2tp blocked

Sstp blocked

Openvpn blocked

Only softether dedicated protocol works

The outside world is pretty much standing back and watching Iran, with good reason. It would be very smart for people to keep a very wide berth. It’s not like Iran is completely devoid of Android developers who can do for this for their own country.

Today he’s asking you to build it. Tomorrow he’s asking you to publish it on your Play Store account. Saturday your account is terminated for association.

But tell me how the smart money is getting up on your self-righteous high horses and forgetting the risks we take for people who can look after themselves on this one quite easily.

I’m curious about onion browser, does it work?

Yeah, WireGuard is blocked. Cisco is blocked. V2Ray is struggling. Proton Stealth is blocked. IKEAv2 is blocked. Sometimes UDP VPN connections work.
Even vpngate.net servers are not fully working for me.

Iranian developers cannot publish apps on the Play Store. We’ve been sanctioned for years.
Eventually me or some other developer would build the APK or OP finds another way to circumvent the censorship.
I’m risking my life every day living in Iran so don’t you dare question my integrity.

Use your own softether server not the one on vpngate

It works on all isp

Only issue android client…

If I had enough money to run my own server, well, I would have found other ways around censorship.
I should investigate that client.

I’m not asking anybody to take risks for me.
I don’t understand what you wanna achieve with your points.
Even if I even publish it to the Play Store, other Iranians couldn’t download it because even the Play Store is censored in Iran.
The best place is either GitHub releases or F-Droid.

This is not our fault to be born in a specific country. There is difference between a government and it’s people. Understand it!
