Hi all,
my last information was, that only server 5-17 in Swiss are owned by Proton itself.
However, these servers are not selectable anymore when I want to create a WireGuard config.
Any more informations about this?

Looks like 5-17 were retired. 65-76 and 61-64 should also be directly owned by Proton.
According to my testing, all Iceland servers are owned.
Swiss servers 65-76 and 378-401 are owned by Proton.
Sweden servers 78-89 are owned as well.
Finally, Germany servers 390-509 are owned.
how can you know which are owned by Proton?
What’s the advantage of avoiding 3rd party infrastructure? I specifically pick always DataPacket servers for the best speeds.
You can know which ones are owned by visiting ipleak.net and seeing if the ISP shows as Proton AGAIN. If it does, then they’re owned.
Thank you Nelizea!
Is there an overview over all owned Proton Servers?
Also for Island and Sweden the previous directly owned servers are removed from the list ( SE#1 to SE#8, CH#5 to CH#18)
Proton has more control over servers they own. They can ensure privacy and security.
ipinfo.io is the best site for gatherig the basic intelligence about an IP address. If the ip says “AS209103 Proton AG” for the ASN, then it is a Swiss or German server on Proton’s own network. Also Icelandic and some Swedish servers are on Proton’s own network.
Is there an overview over all owned Proton Servers?
Unfortunately not.
I did not check which Iceland and Sweden servers are now owned directly by Proton. I am sure somebody in the community will
They were just renamed.
The Sweden servers still exist, same the Iceland.
You can simply try the ones with the highest load and see on the IP Info whether you got the Proton-owned IP
Uhm, they own all of their servers, but I know you meant the network and the facility where the servers are housed.
“AS209103 Proton AG” is an independent network on the internet that hosts some of their Swiss and German servers. But we don’t know where their servers are housed. Could be their office or some colocation facility. All of their servers are equally secure, but it’s nice that they have diversified their providers so it’s not just only datacamp limited.
