Peace from an Egyptian-American and AMA

We’re living in crazy times but what’s new in our part of the world, right? No, but seriously, it’s really fucked right now and we all know it can get even worse.

I don’t see Iranians any differently than I see Israelis, Syrians, Lebanese etc, we’re all people just trying to live. We all have our crazies but it’s our governments fucking us up the most in our day-to-day lives.

I don’t know what’s going to happen and I’d rather not speculate but I just hope that all of us can live in peace one day. I hope that there comes a day very soon when Iranians rid themselves of this filthy IRGC cancer, I hope for the day when Israel is accepted across the board by their Arab neighbors and I hope for the day when our region becomes prosperous through cooperation with each other. If you think about it, our part of the world could have been the most prosperous if we had something going, like how Europe has the EU. We literally got everything.

I hate seeing Israelis get terrorized, I hate seeing Palestinians get killed in war, I hate how the IRGC is occupying and hollowing out several Arab countries and I hate seeing Iranians suffer under their disgusting Shia ISIS regime.

Most reasonable post I’ve seen on the internet in a while.

As a westerner who likes spending time in Middle Eastern and North African counties, it’s been a great disappointment to me to see how certain events have unfolded.

From the failure of the Green Revolution in Iran to the Muslim Brotherhood hijacking and destroying the Arab Spring in Egypt, I can’t help thinking about how much better the whole word would be if things had gone the other way.

I would love to see both Iran and Egypt out from under the dictator’s boot. I have a good feeling that Iran is going to achieve it in the next decade.

Egyptians should be proud of their pre-Islamic heritage like Iranians are

None of us wish for a war because our lives as we know it will be put to an ugly halt and we may never recover from the aftermath yet we will be fucked over by IR minions and their warmongering death cult.

Israelis, iranians, egyptians, lebanese… we’re all related and it shows on every aspect of life, from our opinions to our mentality. This whole thing makes as much sense as the war in ukraine.

Heartbroken to admit we’ve all been played against eachother for over a thousand years.

Being an arab jewish israeli i always feel like i’m supposed to be weary & suspicious around middle easterners overseas, despite that, i always feel most comfortable around them. Lebanese restaurants in asia for example always feel like a piece of home.

Im w you habibi, hoping for peace. Loved to visit Sinai and the people there were one of my fav parts

Same, bro. I’ve been fortunate enough to have Israeli, Iranian and Arab friends, had nights out with each of them and they all remind me of home. I went to an Israeli restaurant in Los Angeles once, the owner is Israeli of Egyptian origin and he made me some of the best Egyptian food I’ve ever had, spoke to me in Arabic and it was like I was hanging out with a relative! When you have personal interactions and relationships with people, it becomes hard to see them as anything other than human. I always tell my Arab friends that if they hung out with Israelis, they’d never have the hatred some of them have for Israelis.

Food, that’s also a big uniting factor overseas. Can’t stress enough how helpful it’s been that other cultures know halal food since alot of them don’t know what kosher is. Having middle eastern food available without any pork or seafood, that’s a big deal.

The israeli people currently answer with a slogan when it comes to israels westernization politics, we say “we like hummus here. Not sushi”. Directly echoing Eliyahu Bahruz Yossian, a former idf intelligence officer, social engineering & middle east expert, a Jewish Persian.

And it’s alot more than just food, it’s the whole vibe & setting you mentioned… shit now i’m even more upset. Could’ve left something really beautiful for our future generations, a bit like our ancient ancestors did, they all had their golden ages, instead, we all f***ed up

As long as there’s people like us talking to one another, I hold onto the hope things can and will get better. I refuse to believe it’s our eternal destiny to hate one another.
