My friend Can't seem to connect to any Lan game, Please Help!

We figured out a way to play LAN games way to to play AOE 3, After searching for a long time, I finally found Radmin VPN and was able to play it but recently, we tried to play again after a long time but he can’t seem to connect to any lan game at all. We a trying to play Blur!!

- I know the problem isn’t with me because I played it with others without any problems.

- I can Ping him on Radmin only when he completely turned off his firewall.

- Even when he and I can ping each other, we can’t see each other in the game.

Things we tried are,

*Changing his network priority to the same as mine.

*Disabling all network adapters other than Internet and Radmin VPN

*Not working on Mobile Hotspot either so it’s not the wifi as well

*He has network discovery on

*Reinstalling Radmin

*Restarting PC

He can’t login (forgot password) to his Wifi settings page to turn on or off UPnp or port forwarding but those shouldn’t matter since we were able to play AOE 3 on Radmin VPN once without any issue. Does anyone know something we can try to fix it?

Your (both) firwall needs to be either configured (allow the ports the game needs) or turned off for the vpn interface.
Very likely one or both fo you have the public network profile assigned to the vpn interface - nothing will work here.

If you don’t want to turn off the firewall, set to private network and confugrethe ports required.

This is one of those where you start the bottom of the osi layer model and work your way up making no assumptions. Gods speed

Blur works with P2P connection, so whenever someone join the server with a firewall enabled (or not configured), no one else can join afterward.
So basically, if someone can’t join, look who last joined the server and that person has their firewall on.

Simple as that if you use the right adapter.
