You can get it directly from GitHub.

Scroll down to assets and select the .msi file. If your pc is 64 bits select MuseScore-3.6.0.*-x86_64.msi otherwise select MuseScore-3.6.0.*-x86.msi. (I added asterisks because the number can change)

Use a VPN. I use Windscribe but there is lots of Free options.

Your sysadmin blocked the website but still allows you to run Linux apps? Great for you if so, but I suspect that while you can probably convince a reluctant sysadmin to allow MuseScore.org, getting them to allow Linux apps will probably be a much harder battle.

Oh never mind, I see, you don’t want to run it on the Chromebook but only download the Windows installer. That much should work as described elsewhere.

the reason i’m downloading it on a chromebook is because my windows 10 computer (desktop) has no internet connection but my chromebook does have internet and there is a usb drive i use so i download the thing online on the chromebook onto the usb and i put the usb drive in my desktop and i have the file

You can download it from SourceForge, but it looks like it’s pretty outdated. They have version 2.1 (which still works well, actually), while the latest version is actually 3.6.

this is a school chromebook

Can you add extensions?

It’s on the school network, so either no at all or no extensions that could help
