Mullvad doesn't hide my IP address

Hi i downloaded the Mullvad but when i google my ip adress on chrome my exact address pops up. How can or can this be fixed?
System (both Android and Windows Ip not hidden)
Thanks in advance!

Did you turn the VPN on?

Tip: At least mention what operating system you are using.

Delete all cookies from your browser. Sign out of all your accounts. Delete all your location history from respective websites. Connect to the VPN server and see if it’s working. As far as I know, if you are on an android device and you sign in to your google account (account synchronisation for emails, calender app, contacts etc) it will still show that you’re from the actual place, probably because GPS remains active even if you turn it off. (Yeah, that sucks). But if you are online via a mobile web browser then it wouldn’t know your actual location. So, avoid signing in to your google account on your android phone.
As for Mac, Linux and Windows OS, VPN works wonders. I haven’t faced any problems yet.
I can’t say anything about iOS as I haven’t used it yet.
Hope this helps.

Use ethernet cable not wifi triangulation.

Geolocation data, which is easily delivered through html5, is derived from a number of sources. If GPS is off, a phone may still derive location from tower triangulation and nearby known wifi networks. The user has to opt out of location for each browser and each app. There is still location info derived from cell towers that will always be there due to the 911 requirements but I don’t believe that is available to anything other than the mobile network that needs to route the 911 call. Removing the SIM card will make that impossible.

Yes! Thank you very much :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Your answer may be in here :innocent:
