binded it any everything.
For torrenting ? Probably yes . Generally , no . Don’t trust them with your data . Keep this vpn for torrenting only
It’s pretty average , slowly evolving into a nortorized product ( tons of features bloat ) price is rising .
They often need rather long to fix critical bugs and their support also degraded heavily.
They are also heavily affiliated with spam tubers.
Data wise they didn’t had yet any leaks or logging issues they had multiple audits.
Speeds are usually fine if your living in the EU if your in the USA or Asian country’s access or speeds may be bad or non existent for them.
It’s part of nord group too.
There are better solutions cheaper.
I’m trying proton right now
reason 1 they are a Swedish company they don’t share or sell shit
-
They have port forwarding and a kill switch
-
UI is easy enough my wife can use it
I’ve been using it for torrenting for about 4 years…no major issues. That’s all I use it for though.
Not even for torrenting, missing port forwarding.
Silly question but how do you torrent with surfshark? Based on what I’ve seen, I thought it was mostly Mullvad.
What VPN would you suggest for torrenting/ other use
Who do you recommend?
Strictly for privacy/torrenting?
Is it possible to use SharfShark on Windows for p2p with kill switch and split tunneling ?
they are swiss not swedish
You mean that you use SurfShark from arround 4 years, when you enable/connect p2p feature, is it possible to set the port number of your choice or their software attribute a random port number to you ?
Yeah judging by the question I don’t think that OP will benefit from PF
Why port forwarding is good for torrenting?
For me, Windscribe because it’s the most customisable option. I got better speeds then proton or pia, don’t need to install additional patches which helping with PF. Once a week you set port and forget about it, manageable with your phone as well, or buy static with forever. I found proton a bit messy with that. Never tested AirVpn so can’t say a thing about this. But Windscribe is the best overall for me.
For torrenting , anything with port forwarding really. For anything else , IVPN and Mullvad , maybe Proton ( Proton still offers PF but port rotates each time before the connection I think). I use AirVPN which offers PF , still don’t trust them but I haven’t heard anything bad about them yet . If you are interested in seeding and/or leeching torrents with low seeders , you gonna need PF. If you are the casual “new episode of x dropped let’s download it” and x is something popular with lots of seeds you not gonna need PF
Comes up to your use case , like least issues in every day use , does it need streaming abilitys , pricing , pf and stuff for piracy , or max privacy audited and not and stuff.
One thing I can tell you don’t choose any kape vpn torguard or most of the affiliate tuber advertised vpn specially if they are smaller or unknown
Yes, it’s possible. They supports P2P on windows, and you can enable the kill switch and split tunneling (Whitelister) for specific apps or websites.
Port Forwarding allows you to connect to more peers . The way torrents work is that one of the peers connected to each other must have an open port , or the connection between them will not be possible . PF makes a specific port open , so you can connect to more people and seed or leech from them . It doesn’t matter if you both have PF enabled , the connection isn’t possible only if you both have closed ports .
Sorry to say this but I’m new to VPN and torrents, what is PF?
