Is an APK safe?

Since I don’t live in any of the countries that Clash Mini is released in I’ve been looking at ways to download the game, I hear that I can change my country/region but if I do so it says I won’t be able to change it again untill a full year later, so I may as well just wait a month or two untill Clash Mini comes to my country or goes global. Then I hear about “APK” thrown around a bit, so naturally I checked it out, but it seems kind of off… is it safe to download from an APK? Are there any consequences that no one talks about? Could I lose progress? Is it confirmed by any official sources? What is your experience?

Sadly downloading the APK version is bad cuz of two reasons:

  1. You wont receive any updates.
  2. Its against the Terms of Service, which can get your account banned.

i wouldn’t do it with an apk. here is how i did it. activate a vpn to norway (choose a country where clash mini is available), then reset your google play store data in settings, then create a new google account, through that you download clash mini. then you can open clash mini and play. then turn off vpn , if you want you can keep your account for in case any clash mini update releases (although you might need to activate vpn again along with using your norwegian account to update)

  1. Download a VPN (I use VPN Free)
  2. Change region to Canada
  3. Go to settings and force stop the Google play store
  4. Open play store back up
  5. Search for and download clash mini
  6. Turn off vpn

You can get banned. If you have to, use HackerBot to download legit mods at least and do not download the stuff you find on Google.

Only reason to download APKs is modding.

I get my mods from HackerBot. It scans all trusted developers for mods.

But scan every file and test on emulator to stay safe.

Also it can get you banned for sure.

Download APKpure and download it from there.

and you probably won’t get banned for it, most people use the APK to play the game cause it’s locked for certain parts of the world

Plus if you try to download the game by using VPN and a new Gmail, you can avoid these issues.

Actually, even with apk you can update. You just need to update it from the place you got it.

My fone doesn’t support Google play so I downloaded Clash royale and Clash mini from APK pure.

I’ve never had any problems with Clash Royale Update. You just go into the APK Pure app and update whenever an app is released.

Hey will the 2 skins from the season pass return? people have said that you guys said they they would return on discord (couldnt find it) but they say they’re limited to the season in the game and purchase screen?

Thanks for the advice! But it seems to be that apk’s have a bad wrap and are in high risk of getting me banned or progress lost so I’ll have to pass on this one.

Thanks! I did think that Supercell would be against an APK, didn’t realise you couldn’t get updates and the potential to get banned, I like to stay on the safe side anyway. I’ll look into getting a VPN, maybe I’ll join the rest of you soon.

Downvotes weeks ago, but I’m still getting updates and the game works fine.
