IP/MAC Binding On LAN Via VPN?

Hey there,

Been using OpenVPN for remote work on my home computer while I travel around with my MacBook Pro for the last year or so. I’m trying to learn more about my own network security, and putting whitelists in place is something I’d love to learn to do.

Would or should a device your remotely connecting (my MacBook Pro) to another network (my home network) show up on said networks device list? Or do you need to be physically in range of that network?

New to exploring this so any info on device lists connected to a network via a VPN would be useful.

Thanks!

unlikely, unless you’ve gone out of your way to do something that bounces/repeats the broadcast traffic around, or you’re using TAP instead of TUN which operates at a different layer.
