iOS 18 - Widget not available?

I recently updated to the iOS 18 public preview and I can’t seem to find the proton VPN widget. I was using it previously on iOS 17.

I’ve never used the widget but in iOS 18 the old style widgets have been removed. Was Proton VPN on the old style?

Until the bug is addressed, I simply swipe down on the Control Center to view the VPN connection status. You can even use this to connect/disconnect ProtonVPN. It’s the same “Control” that displays Airplane Mode, WiFi Status, Airdrop, and BlueTooth. This seems to be the most convenient solution I have found thus far.

Still a problem I think. Proton vpn is absent in the add widgets menu.

Thanks… this is more convenient for me

Then that’s why. App developers had many years to switch to the new widget style so unless Proton updates their widget, it won’t show on devices running iOS 18
