I received an authentic looking email from “McAfee” stating that my 15 day Trial is about to end and I’ll be charged $370.50
I searched online for the transaction ID, invoice number, and phone number, and I don’t find them anywhere.
I can’t imagine that they would be generating a new phone number for each one they send out. Transaction and Invoice ID I could see, but I’m guessing the phone number is something they have that is pretty immutable.
Actual document is attached, but it says…

I’m subscribed to several YouTube channels that have awesome people who are dedicated to bringing down these pieces of scum. Sometimes, they’ll simply waste their time by dragging out the scam interaction as long as they can. I’ve also seen episodes where these crusaders are able to completely wipe out the scammer’s systems while screen sharing. They’re able to access their locations and at times, are even able to see the actual scammers on their own webcams.
I recently saw a McAfee scam bait episode. The baiter was pretending to be a confused, elderly woman who supposedly thought that they were calling her from McDonalds to offer her a refund. You can imagine how hilarious that call was.
I get so many of these. I’ve never even used Mcafee so I know i don’t have an account. I went to the official mcaffee website to try to log in and just entered my email to reset a passcode, no account in sight. The amounts typically vary but they’re always in the $300-$700 range

Ah it’s the classic refund scam
And they probably say that they will need access to your computer to do it.
I have at least 5 in my older email box per week.
What are some good accounts to subscribe to?
Thank you for this. I can’t stop watching his videos.
