I used to crank three or four simultaneous uploads of GB of photos to Flickr, Amazon, Shutterfly, and Google and think nothing of it, while multiple other devices were streaming. It really was glorious.

I may be biased but this article claims Spectrum is the “Most hated internet service provider” in seven states to include the state I am moving to. I have not researched their methodology but it appears to at least have a fundamental design.
I will agree the link I send earlier did NOT conduct a properly sample experiment and would be subject to bias .

I disagree, with a proper research plan and correctly executed random sampling it will tell you which ISP sucks.

agreed. the methodology here doesn’t adjust for overall subscriber count, so it’s kind of useless unless 2/3 player split the market.

i’m just saying if 70% of the broadband subscribers in one state subscribe to the same ISP, then that ISP will be voted the worst.
Unless a sample of equal sizes is taken randomly from each ISP. If there are threes ISP’s and they take 1000 surveys from each ISP, a small ISP can be rated worse than the largest provider.
