Would like to subscribe to the NordVPN service, but…
-
the website says there split tunneling is only available on Android - does this mean there is no option for using NordVpn splittunneling on linux at all?
-
also I Don’t understand the pricing… - if I subscide to a reduced plan, say for two years, do the same reductions aplly to the automatic follow up plan after two years or does the price then jump up to the highest unreduced price?
thx, p.
Split tunneling, as it is on Android or Windows (it’s also available on Windows), is not available on Linux, so you won’t be able to select and whitelist specific apps. You can only add and whitelist specific incoming ports or subnets if that’s what you’re looking for. More features can be found in the manual.
As for the pricing, like they mention on the website, after your initial subscription ends, you will be charged for the 1-year subscription at a different, then applicable rate, so it won’t be a reduced deal most likely, but it’s difficult to predict what the rate will be after 2 years.
Thanks for the clarification!
Unfortunately without split tunneling I cannot use it for my use case.
Any suggestions on another reliable VPN that works withit also on linux desktops?
