Personally I use regular shadowsocks server and outline client on pc, works perfectly.

Works for me since I arrived 12 days ago. Internet providers are MGTS (wired), MTS (wired and mobile), Beeline (mobile). Servers are at DigitalOcean (Singapore), Google Cloud Platform (Oregon), and 1cloud (Moscow, for ‘reverse’ connections). Straightforward setup, no prefix needed.

Yeah doesnt work for MTS (mobile) for me anymore prefixes does nothing also. Any wifi ive been on its been working

I assume you are interested in connecting to the outside. A reverse VPN is needed to access Russian gov’t/rail/airline/bank websites that don’t respond to connections from outside Russia. The same private Outline shadowsocks server installed on an Ubuntu VPS at 1cloud in Moscow to bypass these restrictions.

Not an expert. On Windows, I can only think of a firewall filter that blocks outbound connections to the server IP for all programs except the browser executable.

Outbound rules are in Windows Defender Firewall / Advanced settings, configured separately by network type.

Use Outline credentials ( ss://… line) with a different Shadowsocks client such as shadowsocks-win or nekoray. Your connection to VPS becomes visible as a local socks5 proxy. Add that connection to your browser via extension (FoxyProxy or Proxy SwichyOmega) or cli launch options: protocol: SOCKS5, IP: 127.0.0.1, Port: 1080 or 2080, depending on a client settings.
