You can’t… You can’t select a region. That isn’t the purpose or intent of this VPN.
You cannot, it even tells you this when you read the info about the google vpn.

It only works if you’re in another region and want to use the VPN to watch US based stuff. At least that’s how it worked for me.
I was in Canada the past 2 months or so, and sometimes I’d have my Fi VPN on and I’d notice a discrepancy in shows between my phone Netflix app and TV app. So whenever I had the VPN enabled, I think it defaulted to the US Netflix.
Google VPN reduces my home Wi-Fi download speeds from 970 to 100-130. No thanks.
Use softether for that.

If you are on Android, and you’re just trying to region switch to watch TV, TurboVPN works and is free (at least it was the last time I used it). I would not recommend using it for any type of security, but it works for region switching

Google uses a blind system. It goes beyond forgetting logging data. It can’t be regionally switched because Google has to give you a IP and even in most cases it tries to give a local IP. Google must work with content distributors to make it work properly. If Google did anything illegal or illegitimate all Google servers would be blocked in a blanketed fashion. The VPN on Googles systems are reasonably perfect. You should be happy to be able to use the VPN with Netflix at all.
Google has locked down their VPN so it’s impossible to improperly abuse their VPN for such content.
