Google Search is giving me Persian dates in search results. My correct (USA) location is shown at the bottom of the search page

It seems that Google is mad at me for using a VPN even though they know everything about me. I tried logging out of all my Google accounts on my desktop and re logging in. This just started so I don’t know how long it’s going to last. Anyone else have this experience?

Can you provide a screenshot showing this, feel free to open a ticket with us. My first thought is that their geo-location database is off, but you say Google displays USA as your location, so what kind of search are you doing that Persian dates are provided?

Cookies on your browser can cause this. Did you try on private tab or different browser?

You changed your answer! It was with all searches. At the bottom of the screen, it would show my real location (city, state). And the Persian dates just started showing up yesterday evening. I figured it was just Google not liking that I was using a VPN. Or that it was a temporary bug.

I figured a workaround. Google Search page > Quick Settings (gear symbol) > Language setting > Results region > change from Current location to United States.

I Googled an answer to this last evening (even used DuckDuckGo) and Google was blocking answers to this question.

I did log out completely from all my Google accounts in firefox. I then deleted all their cookies. I then log back into all my Google accounts and try it again. I’m a PC tech and I know about troubleshooting. It seemed like a big waste of time just to find out that when I turned off my VPN everything returned to normal.
