So me and a few friends have been playing ranked on rainbow six siege and especially in the higher ranks ddosing and booting is common place will this vpn stop this I have never used a vpn and an considering getting express also any tips for a first time user are appreciated

We also have absolutely no idea how to set it up and can we have it on multiple devices ie phones,computers to control which server we’re connected to or is it just on one also how does it work over the router is it like anything connected to the router is protected and then on your phone and or computer you can control which server your connected to

I play R6 alot and I can personally say: No, getting a vpn on router doesn’t help. Not only will you:

  1. still connect to your local servers (in europe or wherever you are.
  2. you get either thrown out of the match because Expressvpn blocks your ps4 connectiondue to DDOS or you will have alot of lag AND connectivity issues. So long loading times and no lag in your advantage.

Its not worth the money or the trouble. Set your ps4 account to another continent if you want to play on other servers and have advantage lag.

Is there anything else I can benefit from even if I still getting a vpn outside of gaming

I also play on Xbox North America servers

And is there anything I can do to have people not find my ip to begin with cause of sites like xresolver which just give out your ip from anyone’s gamer tag

Yes. If you use a vpn on laptop/ mobile devices you can have american netflix which offers way more and better content. That was my primary reason to buy a year sub. And to torrent software ofcourse

I am in North America so could I get it on my Xbox and connect to European servers to access Netflix shows that aren’t in America

The thing I don’t get is that the expression vpn website says itself that it good for gaming and is top rated for gaming on multiple lists

Yes, that is true but R6S has alot of protection, more than any game for these kind of cheaters. They try to find the cheaters so bad that you as a regular player cant defend yourself with the same measures which is ridiculous

It’s not the cheating it’s that console siege is plagued with these booters and ddosers I’ve personally been ddosed 3 times and booted over 10 times that’s why I’m looking into getting a vpn to hide my up so they can’t do that anymore

Also console siege especially Xbox it’s really easy to get someone’s ip just from joining someone’s party and in general the security isn’t very good
