Firefox ProtonVPN extension question

I have a use case where I’d like route SOME sites (work mostly) via the VPN and let the others go through outside of the tunnel (less critical ones, like gaming sites and sites that pester you with captchas). is this possible?

EDIT: I decide to go with the multi-container for firefox thing. this way everything is neatly seperated

I would think not. However you can use two firefoxes. One with VPN enabled the other without.

That is possible with wireproxy and firefox multi-account containers.

the browser extension for chromium and firefox based browsers needs A LOT of work.

Both leak, not just DNS traffic but they also leak traffic of whatever is behind the proxy settings that it makes in your browser too

I thought of that but I’m not sure how to go about in windows

thanks, took a while to set up but hopefully its good, seems to be working.

LibreFox with proton VPN and Firefox without VPN, ore vise versa. Or Waterfox.

There are different versions of Firefox, esr nightly beta etc, and they all use seperate profiles. You can use any of them simultaneously.
