Hi all!
I have recently installed SurfsharkVPN on my Windows 10 PC. I then whitelisted Firefox in it because I frequently use Firefox for local activities.
But, now I’m stuck. Because, whenever I close the VPN or it gets disconnected, Firefox stops working. (Despite being whitelisted already). I have already disabled the kill switch since the Surfshark support agents told me that kill switch and whitelisting don’t go well together, and that I should disable kill switch. Still, Firefox isn’t working.
The other browsers on my PC (not whitelisted in the VPN) work fine even if I turn off the VPN app. The problem only happens with Firefox. If I don’t want to use VPN, still I have to open the VPN app at least once, then open FF, start browsing, close the VPN app, and continue browsing. Then if I disconnect or change my internet, I have to do this struggle again because Firefox stops working.
Even now when I’m typing this post, I turned on my PC and started browsing (without activating VPN). This browser through which I’m logged in is okay. Whereas, Firefox is still not working.
It seems as if instead of whitelisting, Surfshark has somehow took control of Firefox connectivity entirely. Please guide how to resolve this.
