Expressvpn Mod From the Megathread Marked as Dangerous in Google Play Store

Hello everyone,

I have recently downloaded the expressvpn mod via apks.me but after a few hours google play store sent an alert that this app is unsafe. I have deleted it for now.

Doe’s anybody know if this is normal? should I be worried?

Don’t use ExpressVpn, it got bought by a company that’s not trusted.

I read somewhere else just recently that this app isn’t to be trusted. I would stay away. Is easy for me cause i could never get the mod to work anyway lol.

Dude you’re literally asking if a hacked app which can view all your traffic is safe…

Upload it to virustotal and see for yourself if it’s dangerous or a false flag. I’ve been using the latest mod on mobilism and it’s been great.

There are mods that allow you to make a 30 Days Trial account.
With the account you can even get the Activation code needed for other devices.
So basically you use the modded version to create an account and then use the creds on a legit version.

This doesn’t solve the fact that the VPN as a whole is safe but solves the issues where you wouldn’t have to use a modded version.

Google play is pretty likely to scan side loaded apps and say it’s not trust worthy too. Have had some apps that were clean, just side loaded and it kept telling me they weren’t safe.

Code your own VPN? I mean you’ll have far better control and understanding over it than what’s out there.

I’ve used ExpressVPN mods from Mobilism to no adverse effect.

Modded VPN apps can’t be trusted. I use Proton VPN its completely free and also gives good speeds good enough to watch live streams and series.

If your really worried about download something that might be malware, trojan, or a worm then just download an apk called Dr.Web and it’s available for pc’s/laptops/& phones also. Even Google Play Store has viruses in some of its apps but it gives them to you as supposedly a virus free app. This app will scan the APK better than Google Play store. Once you install it open it and activate it then when you download something it will scan it and let you know for sure if it’s safe and it works great. You can also do a full scan of your system and it’ll tell you if it finds anything and it will also help remove any virus it finds. They update it constantly to keep you safe.

you should not. Especially VPN apps are dangerous. since they can spoof all your internet traffic. A modded version could abuse that data

Yes. If you don’t trust it you can even make an account on the modded app that would be usable on the legit ExpressVPN app. I’ve tried it for the PC version and got myself 30 days free trial.

And here’s the Steps

!Basically, use any mail where you can get OTPs/verification mails (can be temp mail)
Once you make an account, try loggin in via browser and click on ‘Forget Password’ to create a pass for you to access.
