Don't believe refund policies

I bought a Nord VPN + Incogni subscription to try it out, relying on their 30-day refund window pasted all over their plans page. Decided it wasn’t for me, tried looking for the link, but it was nowhere to be found. Their help page states the refund must be initiated via a chat bot on the page, but it doesn’t exist. Turns out, you have to request a link via email (which is also very hard to find) which then grants the option to start the refund. On top of all that, you have to cancel the auto-renew billing feature. This level of bait and switch is unacceptable and Nord VPN should be avoided.

Nord is the worst. Just wait for the flood of “Nord is the best” to hit your replies. Paid actors, all of them!

Now you can go with Mullvad and IVPN like the rest of us.

agree; Nord sucks the big one, and their bullshit marketing and lack of actual privacy makes them even worse…

so before switching to proton and mullvad I used express vpn for years and auto renual was on even tho I had turned it off and I contacted them and they did fully refund me. Now its in the corporate trash honeypot Tier like nord, but their customer service was excellent ime. I’ll at least give them that.

I had Nord several years ago and their app was shit. Switched to PIA and it worked out great. And then I found out who owns PIA and how they are full of crap about logs, authorities, etc.

I switched back to Nord on the premise of their true “no logs” and I believe I read somewhere they were verified 3rd-party.

I’ll just say… I am not happy with Nord. Speeds suck. Have to constantly switch servers to “reset” my speeds. App hangs when trying to load into windows even tho the processes are running. 1/2 the time I don’t even know if I’m truly behind a VPN until I ping my address.

All that said, who would you recommend for a truly privacy conscious VPN? I haven’t see a lot of happy folks with Proton.
