Just picked up a 4k max firestick and wondering which vpn to get.
Currently in the US, so would rather not buy a VPN that wont work in China.
Okay, crash course here. I don’t know if it will work on fire sticks, but I don’t see why not.
Download as many VPN apps as you can before you get here. I’m currently using LetsVPN, but it may not be the best one for your area. My friend uses expressVPN which does not work for me. (he is in a different area)
Then download Airalo. Airalo is an app which allows you to purchase and load Esims onto your phone. The best part? They completely bypass The Great Firewall of China without needing a vpn. It just doesn’t come with a cellphone number.
With the ESIM you can do a couple things, the first being that you will have access to everything you normally would from the start. You can also hotspot other devices, such as a laptop, and download a vpn there once you’ve found one that works for you and suits your price range.
Without the ESIM you won’t be able to download any new vpns on any devices other than your phone.
Personally LetsVPN has been great for me, it just sucks that you can only have 2 devices.
