Is it even possible? I’m going on a trip to Thailand next month and don’t want to miss any of the football games I’ll have recorded
Only way that has worked for me is with a windows computer in a web browser and use a VPN to pretend you are in Canada. Apps on phones and tablets will ask you to enable gps and once you are outside the country it’s a no go. At least that has been my experience.
Express VPN to Canadian servers from Toronto or Montreal?
Wireguard back to your own home is the only guarantee way to do it.
Select “Best” instead of “Easiest” when using it for the first time and log in with the credentials instead. You can use it anywhere in the world (internet connection required). But its up-to 2 devices only if you are using it outside your home. At home, its up to 5 devices.
VPN but also can watch my recordings.
Any VPN will work just fine.
Using a computer (doesn’t have to explicitly run Windows!) or tablet, point your web browser to “tv.bell.ca” and login with your mybell credentials. That’s all it really takes.
Alas, if you can skip the recordings and bare with what’s available live, just prepay for a generic IPTV provider and set it up with any android iptv client. It’s worth the $25 (currency conversion varies, that’s the price I got).
Ok great is there a particular VPN that worked for you?

Can you access the Bell Fibe PVR remotely via a Windows Computer?
I thought you could only do it via the Bell Fibe app? What URL do you use to access via PC?
I just googled it and that’s slightly above my pay grade lol
So if I already connected via Best then it won’t work?
What VPN do you use to watch your recordings
Ok so it’s not like Netflix which is really hard to find a VPN that works with their services. I sometimes have to go through 10 VPNs until I can find one that unlocks Netflix
If you own a Android phone then it’s possible to change your GPS coordinates to be in a certain location. Not sure how it’s done, but it was a popular method to cheat in Pokemon GO a few years ago. Shouldn’t be too hard to do. Might actually be a setting in the developer options to test out GPS.
I forget which one it was, but as stated any vpn will do as long as it is in Canada and you sign in via Best with your credentials. I got fancy and started VPNing into my own home, but that’s a whole other story.
Can’t access the PVR like an ftp server if that’s what you meant.
I didn’t need one to watch my recordings from what I remember.
Once you find one that works best with streaming services, keep it as an option and prepay to use when needed.
No, it’s not like Netflix.

This is a developer option for Android, to let an app manipulate the GPS coordinates. For the past few versions of Android, the OS tells the app receiving the coordinates that this option is turned on, so it’s not so simple anymore. People still find a way to cheat it but it’s not impossible to detect anymore so it’s become a cat-and-mouse game as new cheats are discovered.

I didn’t realize you could access the PVR (to watch recordings) via a browser - But u/rootbrian_ explained it upthread: You just point your browser to tv.bell.ca
I didn’t realize that was even an option. I thought your only choice was the app.
