Can you use wifi to share vpn hotspot? or do I have to use ethernet

my questions is if this possible:

Host: connected to internet from router through Wifi, here is the Vpn. share hotspot

Guest: only connected to host hotspot

can the vpn be active on guest ?

If you get a travel router as a 2nd access point

So the setp would be

Isp router (as the host) → travel router (running vpn) → visitor
