Can I use this game key from Turkey if i’m located in the UK? using a VPN

Yes, it will work. This is how i buy most of my games.

Yes, you can.

You can redeem it on the Microsoft website using a Turkey VPN. You can then download it to your console as normal.

Listen to me first

I did the same for modern warfare 1 few days back and redeemed a turkey key using vpn.
Immediately turning the xbox on I received a message re-login required. I thought its the regular check Microsoft does but the next thing showed up 'Your account has been blocked ’ with some error code. Searching on google that code refers to ’ You tried to sign in to your account and received a message that it’s been locked, it’s because activity associated with your account might violate our terms of use ’

I was extremely disheartened after this and will never use vpn to redeem keys.

I had used my secondary account because was unsure about eneba being safe so atleas lost just few games redeemed using that.

P.s eneba is a good website but Microsoft is no idiot either

Don’t go off what i say but i do believe it does work from what ive read in the past

Wait for more confirmation 1st before doing so

Can someone share info how to buy from the Turkey Microsoft xbox site? I’m able to log in via VPN and see the cheaper options (with exchange rate_ but how do you checkout? credit card isn’t an option as it’s locked to Turky. Do you pre-load gift cards?

So I bought a No More Heroes 3 key for Turkey and I wasn’t able to redeem it through VPN the other day. For record I’ve redeemed countless Argentina and Turkey keys. It was weird. The key site support said it was because my account wasn’t a Turkish account even though I had my VPN set. Was weird. I’ve got a MW2 Vault from turkey that I’m waiting for the key on too though so I’ll see.

I have been trying to do this with xbox live and I cannot get it to work with a VPN. Can someone help me?

Strange. This is the first case I’ve ever heard of this happening. I’ve also used VPN to redeem for a few games in Turkey, UK, and Argentina and I’m still good.

Thanks for letting me know I think i’m going to refund it and just pay the extra through the system

This sounds more like a scenario where the key that you bought was probably purchased with a stolen credit card in turkey somewhere and then resold to you.

Did you buy the key from eneba?

hi did it work for you?

Which VPN are you using?

Did you manage to get this working?

I was shocked too ! Because I had searched a lot of online forums before trying it out.

I even got express vpn so I could redeem the key. Even played the game for some time but the next time I started the xbox the message appeared.Alas everything is in vain.

I am from Pakistan which is unsupported region and i switched from USA microsoft store to Turkey microsoft store because game pass and games are cheaper there due to exchange rate. So far I haven’t got any ban messeage so I think I am good to go.

If you want you can take the chance from a new account but don’t compromise your primary one.

Refunds are not allowed from eneba if you have seen the key

Yes I can show my purchase/Microsoft order history/eneba purchase history

Also I use eneba regularly and don’t think it was an illegitimate key

I suggest you post screenshots and let’s the community here know. I’m not saying you’re lying, but providing proof will discourage people like myself and other from using VPN anymore. Of course, blur out your personal info before posting.

Also, how long was “some time” before you got banned? You got me worried now. Have you been reedeming a lot over vpn? I probably redeemed about 3 region locked codes on vpn from turkey and Argentina. I also purchased a US code and redeemed that.

My VPN region locked redemptions were (3) turkey 1 year Xbox live codes, Dolby Atmos, and family feud. The American region locked code was COD Cold war. I wonder if sometimes reedeming the region locked code in a region to which you belong will keep you off the radar.

Same using this for quite a few months going fine
