Sorry if a stupid question but can I get in trouble if I use a VPN to connect to the UK to place bets on football while in Thailand?
You won’t get in trouble but you need to do it anyway because the betting apps won’t allow you to do it, aswell as that I know that some bookmakers will ban you if you log in from different countries
How would they know. I use one and it’s not a problem. You’re not gambling in Thailand anyway.
I have a friend who tried using a vpn for being in the US and the betting apps knew the ip addresses of the vpn so they weren’t allowed to. Not sure about UK. And it is a friend I’m not silly enough to bet on sports.
They will happily take your money but if you win big, they will void it on the grounds of VPN usage they “only just discovered”

You should read the disclosure on the betting site. VPN for TV is one thing but a betting site no way.
Go to Singapore or just enjoy Thailand and what they have to offer.
It’s is illegal in thailand to gamble onshore or offshore. Your ISP terms and conditions clearly state this. Thailands cyber criminal unit are some of the best for tracking down people who break the law, only 2 weeks ago they busted a Chinese gambling ring using online betting, but go ahead and gamble, its ok- thai prisons are holiday camps.

It was a whole going for who know how long. Using your cell phone for 3 months should be fine. VPN for Netflix all the time. Little gamble on your cellphone
