Am I safe with Cyberghost Killswitch?

I was in the middle of a massive 20gb torrent download, my killswitch on cyberghost was activated and my internet connection was dropped obviously. Cyberghost give you the option to either try again (to reconnect to the VPN and continue what you were doing) or unblock your connection (advises you to close all torrenting stuff). I clicked try again, but noticed the VPN connection is slightly different, as instead of having my previously-attributed “time elapsed” and “downloaded” statistics, they had started over, and I’m just wondering if I’m safe from my ISPs noticing or not, I’m kinda freaking out lol

Friends don’t let friends rely on kill switches. Turn that off and figure out binding.

Bind your VPN’s adapter to your torrent client. There’s been plenty of posts about how to do it on this subreddit.

Is the search function broken on this sub reddit?

No kill switch is safe on it’s own.

If you’re not using qBittorrent get it.

Bind qBittorrent to your VPN. This stops all torrent traffic if your VPN drops it’s connection or you forgot to connect. It’s more reliable than a Kill Switch.

In qBittorrent, go to Settings > Advanced > Network interface and select your VPN interface.

If you don’t know which is your VPN, disconnect it and see which interface disappears.
