And while I’m here I’ll post something “good” about PIA instead of the typical complaint. Just yesterday I was simultaneously downloading at 500 Mbps while uploading at 200 Mbps using WireGuard. Those are not peak numbers but sustained numbers for ten minutes or so until the distros finished downloading. Canadian servers in case you wondered.
Yeah they used to market the entry and exit IP’s being different as being “slightly better” but then changed their tune about 4 years ago.
You do get a different DNS ip though when you do an ip check, and i dont know if that’s good or bad.
I’m sure they beta tested it but from what I’ve seen over the years there is typically a minor release that comes shortly after their major releases. In my older years I’ve become more cautious when updating. I figure I’ll wait a bit and see if any issues pop up once the update is out in the wild before I jump in.
