Activating Xbox Game Keys using a VPN

I saw a website CJS-cdkeys that is selling Elden Ring for almost half price. The catch is that you need to activate the code through a web browser on the Xbox website using a VPN. Apparently, the code is from Argentina. Has anyone done this before? Also, is there a free VPN that will allow me to connect to Argentina to activate the code? The website suggests using Hola, but the Hola extension is not available on Google Chrome anymore.

Yes, it works fine. Unlimited vpn has a 1 week free trial. Protonvpn also works and has a 1 week trial.

Does Protonvpn allow me to connect to Argentina. Also, I am curious as to why does the code have to be submitted through a web browser rather than changing the location on the Xbox console to Argentina?

The free version does not have access to servers from argentina, but the paid or trial versions does. Also, not sure why xbox doesn’t allow you to redeem it on the console.

You CAN actually purchase games from Argentina using a credit card. Just need to switch location and language and use a billing address from Argentina. It doesn’t seem like xbox verifies if your billing address actually matches your card, it just needs to be a valid address.

Changing the location through xbox doesn’t trick it to think you are from that country… I put usa as my country and can’t access Microsoft rewards

Since when? Every time I try it blocks the transaction

No, you can’t. The credit card origin has to match the country you are buying from (exception is EU).

Wait really? Because recently I’ve been buying Elder Scrolls Online crowns from a person Band in a group who does this, and what I’ve determined is theyre somehow getting ARS prepaid visa. And I love this because most people in game who sell crowns for gold I have to have something i want in the store and it has to be available, but with this person I’ve been able to get the crowns on my account, tested it first with an alt account to be safe and they’ve been legit.

How sure are you of this? I’d love to bypass the middleman because not only would it be cheaper it would be more convenient because our timing is hard to get. The time their on and filling orders is when I’m going to bed. And from what it sounds like they’ve been doing testing for college so that gives them less time aswell.

I’ve used tunnelbearVPN for those. You are required to validate your account with a US phone number though, which means you need to know someone there who would be willing to help you.

How come if you want to play a game early you can change your location and access the games? I.e. a lot of people move to New Zealand the day before a big game comes out.

I’ve been buying games for a few months now. It’s a US account and just use my credit card. It might because I’m in Guatemala, which doesn’t have official Xbox support anyway. So whether I use US or Argentina I’m still outside the region.

Also, US codes work fine most of the time, sometimes it requires VPN. Argentina always require a VPN.

I know I am late for the party, but my account is also in South America (Colombia) and I can pay with my EU credit card just fine. I live in Germany.

As I mentioned in another comment, I’m in Guatemala so I’m not sure if that has something to do with it, but I’ve been purchasing games, DLC, and in-game currency from both US and Argentine stores. I’ve had no problems so far, and have also gifted a few games and dlcs which then need to be redeemed with a VPN.

That is probably it then. Damn. Still on the hunt to acquire reliable Argentinian payment method then
