A basic shortcut: Single VPN button to toggle VPN on/off

Download the free app “Actions” for shortcuts from appstore.
Set it up like the screenshot on the left side of the attached photo. Note that you need to convert the “if” from number to text.

How to use: Add it to homescreen to get a single button on homescreen to toggle VPN app on off. For this to work, your VPN app should have support for siri shortcuts. I’m using it with nordVPN.

Why needed: This is a basic shortcut and not very big deal. I prefer it over the supplied widget for nordVPN because it is a single button and can fit easily in my homescrern setup.

Yes it does require it. I mentioned it in the post but thank you for clarifying it further

This is an old thread but how do I make such an automation that runs only if the VPN is currently toggled off? I tried to install the Actions app and make a shortcut with no luck :pensive_face:
