Thank you. I posted in the rural internet sub as well but y’all have been much more responsive!
I briefly looked into Calyx Institute but it sounded like too much of a gamble since you can’t get a refund if you try it and the signal isn’t good enough.
Good to know! Probably not a big deal if we’re only using hotspot data for things that are not accessible via the business fixed wireless.
Which Business Fixed Internet do you refer to?
If you mean “Wireless Broadband” then there are limitations on apps you can use but if you mean “Fixed Wireless Internet” then that’s the same as the consumer version. And if you mean “Wireless Internet” then that’s the hotspot plan.
I’m referring to “Wireless Broadband,” which I guess I thought was a fixed wireless plan but maybe it’s not? Perhaps that would explain why there is no analogous plan available on the consumer side.
Sorry, I’ve been looking at this too long and everything is running together!
Then you’re correct. It is unlimited but deprioritized after certain among of data and has limitation on apps.
Both the other two have consumer equivalent but “Wireless Broadband” is business only due to its limitation.
Thank you for clarifying that for me, it makes much more sense now!
