For all the “it was bipartisan” crowd, imagine this passing but every single democrat voting against it. You think they are willing to take a huge L to protect privacy so republicans can scream “pedophile” at them every day?
Democrats voted for this bill to avoid career suicide.
Today I went on my phone to take a screen shot to show a friend that it’s blocked in VA, and was met with penis. This is the first time I’ve ever gone to pornhub and been surprised to see penis. It was blocked last night. Somehow it’s not blocked for me now (using a phone not connected to wifi).
I have no concerns as it’s easy to get around this, but I have been curious how this will impact things like NSFW SubReddits and Some Twitter profiles and stuff.
All the talk is about porn hub but there’s lots of nudity and porn all over the place. And now with a bunch of subs going NSFW I’m protest will completely harmless subs be locked out because of this stupid law?
Okay, so I’ve been putting off this question for a while, but have you all NOT been using Tor or a VPN for your porn browsing? Why would you do that? Like yeah, what’s going on with Pornhub and VA is terrible, but I have to wonder who among us has just been straight up logging into Pornhub while signed into their Chrome account or whatever. Sounds like a good way to get doxxed.
I’m really pissed at Democrats for voting for this. Nobody represents the will of the people. I wish we could change the law where legislation can only be introduced if the public supports the measure by 60% majority on a ballot.
