For the past 48 hours or so I’ve been having trouble with Nord. I’ll open it, It’ll connect and then it’ll get stuck in a cycle of looking for a new IP over and over again.
This has been running fine for about a month or so now, I don’t have to touch it ever. It always auto connects and takes care of everything.
I tried doing the restart from the diagnostic section that didn’t change anything. I didn’t do a full reinstall but if that is suggested, I’ll do that next.
Is there any chance my ISP which is Verizon is somehow causing this?
I started having problems as well after 2 years of basically no issues. Constant server switching and disconnections. Sometimes I’ll be connected to a server but unable to access the internet until I refresh to a new one.
Maybe related maybe not, I had issues the last few days with Nord taking a very long time acquire an IP while connecting. It would eventually connect (10 seconds maybe) and it has not been an issue today.
Ive been having this exact same issue on windows 11 and cant figure out whats wrong and ive tried every troubleshooting step there is. I ended up just setting it up through ikev2 with the windows built in vpn and its been working better.
To figure out the ip, nord calls its API, you should be able to see it in the logs. Ofc, you can always contact the support and provide them diagnostics logs
I just had this problem 1 hours ago. Stuck on connecting reconnecting even if i close the app still no connection with wifi. I believe the update yesterday broke something.
Now what happens to be solution for me or rather found the culprit/fix is somehow my DNS has been reset to default, previously using the Nord DNS. Not sure what reset it either the update or the constant reconnecting and the app set it back.
Once i put back the custom DNS in all the network adapters, works smoothly like it used to. Hope it helps.
It must be windows bc I use Linux and have absolutely zero issues. I have autoconnect on through the command line. No app at all so that’s likely why. I am connected within a second of booting
