Will installing a VPN on my router hide all IP?

So I have a VPN subscription and currently have it installed on my FireTV, my PC, and phone. I have another device I just purchased and it will need ro be connected via WiFi to function. However, I cannot install a VPN on it specifically.

I’ve been reading a bit on installing the VPN directly onto the router and in turn any device connected to its WiFi signal would be going through the VPNs chosen IP address and not my own.

So my question is - is this true? If i install a VPN on the router itself will all devices connected and any company who can track my devices not be able to see my actual IP address?

Yes. If you have a router you can connect to a VPN (you don’t “install” a VPN), then you can configure that router to route all traffic over that VPN which means that nobody except your VPN provider will see your public IP. Though, there are way more things nowadays that companies use to track you, not just your IP.
