I’m also from PH and I use Mudfish VPN to play. My isp is PLDT and I normally get around 200ms to the KR servers. With Mudfish, my ping to the KR server is around 70-80ms.
I just top-up $3 at a time and I get almost 30GB worth of data which lasts me 1-2 months depending on how much I play. I also use it in other games when PLDT routing sucks.
Vpn won’t lower your ping , unless it happens that the VPN server is actually closer than the proxy distance you incur . I would look at exitlag for a free trail they have good setups to navigate a good server proxy route.
And if it’s not helpful well it’s a free trail so you don’t lose much .
Was coming to the thread just to recommend Mudfish. For the most part VPN isn’t going to improve ping but sometimes the ISP really just picks some shitty routing, and Mudfish is absolutely the best and cheapest way to fix that. At the start of coronavirus one of my ISP nodes was getting absolutely hammered to the point that I was getting unstable 250ms ping on League Of Legends when it should’ve been 60ms, Mudfish fixed it right up.
If your ISP is a cheapskate then they might be inefficiently routing your traffic to the destination server. In that case, a VPN would help. And in OP’s situation, there is no way a PH player is normally supposed to get 300 ping.
