What to set my VPN to in order to play?

So I have never used a VPN. I have access to it via my norton subscription. What do I have to set it to in order to play? Is it safe to use this way? I don’t put money into Marvel Snap. I never have. But I have a ton of time in it as I’ve played daily since the 3rd week it was out. I don’t want to to do something and say somehow accidentally overwrite something and lose all of that. So basically what do I set a VPN to and is it safe to use in that I won’t lose all of my progress thus far. Thanks in advance for helping a 42 year old elder millenial man new to VPN technology. Lol

I use Canadian connections. For anyone wondering, you’re good to play continuously in any connection outside of US using VPNs. I’ve been playing using a VPN since launch due to my job having an intense internet filter. It’s the only way I can play sometimes. Hope this helps.

I set mine to Canada and only to log in. Then I can turn off the VPN and play normally with no problem.

I didn’t know if the game thinking I am somewhere else is gonna make stuff like the shop change to CAD for money or alter something else. Lol I am absolutely new to whatever a VPN is but I love the game and play it a lot and it’s weird for it to have just disappeared unannounced.

I used to be big on Marvel Avengers Alliance on Facebook back in the day. But that got almost unhealthy because I still never paid real money on it but the grind was insane on that game. And at least that gave us a date for the shut down so I had time to accept it. Lol And the same with Marvel Avengers Academy which also shut down. I enjoyed that too.

Ok so in your case login as Canada and as long as I am playing the game it works fine. And just do it again when I play next time? OK cool. I just get worried thatcits gonna like screw up and then my Google backup will overwrite it as a new account or some shit. And then I’d be like “recover my account please despite using bypassing methods to play” lol

Nah. The way i think of it is this. With the game being a “mobile” game at heart, it wouldn’t make much sense to punish people for “traveling” and being on different connections. Something else interesting, in case you were unaware, a lot of youtubers talk about it when promoting VPNs - you can watch different things on streaming services due to different regions having different access than US users. I think I remember a friend saying all of the Studio Ghibli films are on Canadian Netflix or something like that… I’ve never verified, but I know that’s also a big plus to having access to a VPN service.

Should be fine. Ben Brode himself is recommending using a VPN until they get things back up (hopefully within 24 hours he says).

Very interesting. I never thought to check if other countries have access to shows I’ve wanted to watch here but couldn’t. I don’t know why it never dawned on me. But I watch enough shit as it is.
