VPN's and devices using different locations

OK, this is likely a dumb question.

I’m looking to setup a VPN on my UDM SE. From what I understand, looking for an OpenVPN provider.

I have a few questions and figured this was the best place, but point me where it may be better.

  1. If I set the VPN on the Unifi SDM SE - Do I typically pick a location not to stuff up all the devices location? So if I lived in New York do I pick New York (Assuming using it mostly for privacy reasons)
  2. Can a device (Laptop) then use the VPNs software to connect and opt for a different location? So default no software running = New York VPN. If I ran software on the laptop I select London, then all other devices will still be New York, that one laptop would now be London?
  3. Dumbest question - is that laptop now using a VPN (router) to use another VPN (Laptop)?
  4. How impacted is speed on a VPN? I have a 1000/50 Mbps connection - Which gets me around 110-115 MB/s download speeds typically when a good server. If the VPN states max typical is 95MB/s I assume that means all connections? If I have 5 devices, they don’t all get max of 95MB/s and obviously total cap around 110MB/s as saturates my connection - it will be cumulative 95 MB/s now using the VPN?

I’m doing this as Australian privacy laws encroaching a lot and simply want to get ahead of the future laws being changed. So, I want the most secure VPN I can find and will post in a differ sub for that unless people have recommendations.

Thanks

There is a VPN server available to help you fix your problem. I strongly suggest WebSecureNow. It is one of the most user-friendly and reliable VPN services available.

Actually I enjoy my free trial on that vpn provider also they are money back guarantees.

What kind of performance issues does vpn raise?
