Hi I’m looking into subscribing to this VPN but my TV does not have an app download and neither does my Xbox so I’m wondering how you go about using a VPN from the router and if SKY supports this?
How would I set up NordVPN to allow this?
Thanks
Depends who makes it, the first step would be to establish who makes that router for Sky is it another vendor or is it Sky themselves. Next would be to see if it’s on the list of compatible/incompatible routers on the NordVPN website. Also, as others have said, checking to see if it has any VPN options is another step to tell if it could be compatible or not

based on this, youre SOL. find yourself out a pfSense or piHole box and youre golden. what follows are each solution and how to with Nord. I didnt read any of the how-tos, so no idea if its exactly what you need, but itll get you going. pfSense and piHole can be hosted on actual bricks so long as it has an ethernet port. from there, it comes down to what you can modify in the router’s configs and what the ISP will allow. if your ISP doesnt allow firewalls or DNS servers btwn the modem and router AND you are unable to change the default gateway for the router, youre at a total loss as far as Im aware

Short answer no, sky do not support it.
Best option is to replace the router with one that’s compatible with sky broadband.
Might gain some info here: VPN Sky Broadband
(Sorry) Not gonna happen. Nord’s service can’t be set up on ISP-make routers.
Sky don’t support it at all.
They don’t even allow custom DNS since they began delivering sky glass and sky stream. The way they deliver all of the various 100s of channels that used to be served over dish is to validate IP and then use multicast etc. all of this means they do everything possible to ensure a user can’t break the hub from connecting into their tv services.
Lots of people setup a hotspot on windows / Mac via hotspot, sharing the vpn connection instead of the standard WiFi.
Example here. This is the easiest route usually. Else if you want a dedicated device, rpi is good
