The general advice here is “Don’t use Free VPN’s to torrent” and also “Windscribe is a reputable company”. So then what’s wrong with using Windscribe’s free service to torrent (aside from the 15 GB limit)?
15GB is nothing compared to today’s day and age like 500 GB monthly bandwidth seems like nothing anyways wind scribe is a trusted comapny but there are other companies that use extensive ads as well as install some malware and sell your information for mohey. Some reputable free vpns are windscribe, hide.me,etc
Nothing really as that’s mainly it. I guess speeds may be slow sometimes but it’s eh.
The general advice " don’t use free VPN service" is not applicable everywhere. There are services that only provide free VPN service, those are the companies that you should stay away from.
Then there are companies like WIndscribe, Hotspot Shield that provides a free account, as a marketing strategy. They usually put a cap on various features in this free account, so that the user gets a glimpse of their service. The reason why they do this is to convert those free users into paid customers later.
So yes, you can use Windscribes free service, but they do have some limits like limited speed, server selection, and many more.
Nothing’s wrong with them other then the limit, others say ‘free’ as in only ones that offer a free option and not a paid option also/too.
The free limit is garbage for normal users. I use that in 4 days.
15gb is nothing. Not really a free vpn, more like free trial
A conservative day will be 20gigs total a day, from hd netflix, prime, disney and youtube for a family that has multiple screens for their media, and just some random downloads via p2p.
