Surfshark wasn’t connecting on my laptop, tried resetting the network via SS as they suggested. That bricked my network settings on my laptop so it wouldn’t connect at all to the internet. Spent 2 hours with support trying to fix (mostly very helpful stuff like “Have you tried restarting your computer?”), butthey couldn’t fix it. Had to take it to a local repair store who confirmed unequivocally that it was caused by SS. They refused to refund subscription and still have not cancelled my subscription despite multiple requests. Just a complete joke all around. You have been warned.
Surfshark bricks network connection of laptop, support does nothing, refuse refund, refuse to cancel
I think I had this problem a few years ago, it was pretty annoying. I not sure how exactly I fixed it… maybe try reseting network drivers? Deleting the apps and try using manual connection? Like wireguard or openVPN. Btw this was windows 10.
Obviously YMMV situation, I’m having an issue that is of some annoyance but support has been nothing but helpful
Last update messed my machine up as well with same symptoms. After using system restore point I was able to boot into Windows again. Not a good experience. After my current subscription ends, I’ll try some other product instead. Enough is enough.
Hello, we’re sorry to hear you’ve been having trouble connecting to Surfshark. If you’re unable to connect to the internet, it may be due to our Kill Switch feature, which cuts off your internet connection if you’re not connected to your VPN. If Kill Switch is not the cause of your disrupted internet access, we would need more details to determine the exact cause and possible solutions. Would you mind sharing some more details and what you’ve already tried out via email [email protected]? Hopefully we’ll be able to solve this promptly.
Also have an issue with SS. After updating Mac to Sonoma 14.1, SS will not allow me to boot to my desktop. After uninstalling and reinstalling all my start up items, SS is the only app that causes this issue. Support assumes I’m a noob who has no clue how to use their product.
